In the very first WWE Day 1 of the new year, there were some exciting moments and surprises.
The “wwe day 1 results universal championship” is the result of a match between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns. The match ended in a no contest after both men were counted out.

After being added to the main event less than two hours before the show began, Brock Lesnar departed Day 1 as the WWE Champion.
The wrestling world was buzzing as WWE announced Universal Champion Roman Reigns will miss Saturday night’s show after testing positive for Covid-19, leaving the Beast without a match.
As Big E defended his championship against Bobby Lashley, Seth Rollins, and Kevin Owens in the Fatal 4 Way, Lesnar was introduced to the mix, giving the match a whole new aspect.
Brock gave his best Paul Heyman imitation backstage earlier in the evening, beginning with ‘Ladies and gentlemen, my name is…’ and ended with a surprise straight out of his advocate’s playbook.
WWE used promos from the other three stars in the fight to build up interest and play up the unpredictable nature of Lesnar’s inclusion in the match throughout the night.
Once the bell went, it was a fast-paced, intense bout, with all five guys fighting all-out for the Atlanta fans, who were completely enthralled by the spectacle.
While KO and Rollins continued their partnership, the other four guys took down the Beast, who was sent crashing over the ringside barrier by the All Mighty.
Everyone had their moment to shine, but it was Lesnar who came out on top when he hit a big F-5 on Big E, pinning him and flipping the world championship picture on its head for both Raw and SmackDown.
Nobody knows where things will go from here, but WWE has definitely succeeded in getting people talking.
Beth Phoenix makes a cameo appearance as Edge makes his Brood debut, Liv Morgan falls short, and more.
Sheamus – whose partner Ridge Holland was rushed to the back early on after suffering a fractured nose – defeated Cesaro and Ricochet to win the Kickoff.
Due to the injuries, the match had to be adjusted on the fly, but the conclusion made the Celtic Warrior appear like a babyface defeating an enemy rather than the villain he is.
The main event kicked off with a bang, as The New Day and The Usos added yet another chapter to their long-running rivalry.
Jimmy and Jey successfully defended the SmackDown Tag Team Titles against King Xavier Woods and Sir Kofi Kingston with some amazing reversals, callbacks, and near-falls en way to the match-ending 3-D.
Although the outcome was never in question and the match might have been cut by a few minutes, Drew McIntyre’s victory against Madcap Moss was more exciting than some may have imagined.
After Moss put in a lot of effort to make the Scottish Warrior seem as powerful as he did here, he won with a Claymore. Later that night, Madcap and Happy Corbin attacked McIntyre backstage and brutally thrashed him, ensuring that the animosity would continue.
The Street Profits, who hinted at a heel turn throughout the exciting match, led RK-Bro to the ring for Randy Orton and Riddle’s victorious Raw Tag Team Title defense against The Street Profits.
Before all seven guys – including the special guests – posed for the fans, the fight concluded with a stunning pop-up RKO.
From Edge’s Brood entrance to his fellow Hall of Famer and real-life wife Beth Phoenix making a tremendous impact, there was much to be excited about in Edge’s triumph against The Miz.
After Maryse continually interfered in the excellent match, the Glamazon came down and created her own distraction, leaving Miz vulnerable to a Spear and ensuring a mixed tag match for WrestleMania (or sooner).
News from the United States of America
In the semi-main event, Becky Lynch defended her Raw Women’s Championship against Liv Morgan in a tense battle that drew a hushed audience that became more enthused as the fight progressed.
Morgan fell short at the last hurdle after the Man and her challenger worked brilliantly together to provide another amazing match.
Hopefully, WWE continues to support Liv, especially with the Royal Rumble approaching — a victory for the underdog and a WrestleMania moment would be a fantastic feel-good tale.
